Reunion Details

Please note the following important details about the 2023 Reesor Reunion.

Reunion Venue

The Reunion is sharing the Markham Fairgrounds site with another event. The Reunion is being held in the Livestock Pavilion (Building #6). To reach this building you must enter the Markham Fairgrounds site by car via the North Road off of McCowan Road. DO NOT enter by the Main Gates off of McCowan Road.

There is a drop off and accessible parking area off of the North Road. The main parking for the Reunion will be in the main fairgrounds parking lot past the drop off area, just east of the Livestock Pavillion. Note, the parking is shared with the other event.

Once parked, Reunion attendees will enter the Fairground grounds through the gate in the middle of the East fence, directly opposite the East door of the Livestock Pavilion. The patrons of the other event will enter the grounds using the Main East Admissions Gate to the South. There will be signs and Reunion volunteers directing you to the drop off area and the Reunion entrance.

Please refer to the map of the fairgrounds.

On-site Registration

The main entrance to the Reunion will be the East Door of the Livestock Pavilion. When you enter the building there will be several tables where we ask you to write your name on a provided name tag. Heads of household will add the following information to a registration form on the table.

The main purpose of registering as you enter the Reunion is to get an accurate count of the number of Reunion attendees.

There will also be some items for you to pick up at the registration table: a self driving tour of Reesor sites in the Markham area, a Reesor Family themed word search, and a free reunion souvenir.

Kids Zone

There will be an unsupervised area for children where colouring sheets and crayons will be available on tables. It will be located beside the Artefacts area in the East end of the Livestock Pavilion.

Reunion Picture

We will attempt to take a group photograph of all of the Reunion attendees with a drone inside the show ring area of the Livestock Pavilion. This is where the short Reunion program will take place. The photograph will take place at the end of the program, around 2:00 PM.

If the photograph is successful we will send it to all email addresses on our mailing list. If you would like a copy of the Reunion picture and you aren't currently on our mailing, please add your email address at the Registration table.

Self Driving Tour

A self driving tour of Reesor Family sites in the Markham area has been prepared. Some sites you can enter and look around and others you can only view from the road as they are private property. Each site in the guide is marked with one, two or three asterisks to indicate which type of site it is.

The tour guide will be available at the registration table at the Reunion. If you would like it before you arrive at the Reunion, please e-mail us and we will send you an electronic version.

Payment Options

Memorabilia purchases can be made with cash, debit or credit (VISA or Mastercard only). Silent Auction purchases can be made by cash, credit, debit or cheque made out to "The Reesor Family in Canada".

During the program a free will offering will be taken to help defray costs of the Reunion. Cash or cheques will be accepted for the offering but you are welcome to make a donation via debit or credit at the Memorabilia table. Thank you.

There will be an ATM in the Reunion building at the Markham Fairgrounds.
